Londonderry, again

I was lucky enough to repeat this ride to Londonderry, NH:

with a slightly different route.  Still trying to find the best route over the Merrimac River and outside of Lowell and Lawrence.  The 2010 route takes you on some bumpy and busy city streets.  Both routes use temporary bridges over the Merrimac.

New Hampshire family vacation ride

I enjoyed a ride up to Santa's Village to help Heidi get the boys back to North Conway. It was a long haul with more climbing than I am used to this year but was still exhilarating.

I saw a bear and her cub cross Rte 302 just inside of Crawford North State Park and saw a coyote in the Ammonoosuc River bed west of Base Station Road.

First long ride of the season

With two little guys and lots to do it has been pretty difficult to find time to ride, let alone ride a decent distance. I took a vacation day to do this ride: GMap_Pedometer link. The detour on Pope St. was due to current paving on the Acton section of Strawberry Hill Road. Otherwise I would have taken SHR down to Barretts Mill Road, one of the more enjoyable stretches of road in this area while avoiding the intense Concord Prison rotary. This was a very tiring ride.
